Villa Elisa, Argentina-based artist Luciano Polverigiani creates surreal sculptures of peculiar creatures out of clay.
Luciano Polverigiani has been working with ceamics for more than 20 years. It allows him to combine art and infinite techniques. He knows the materials with which he works perfectly, since each choice demands many tests and trials. Luciano Polverigiani works with enamels and glazes of color, and generally limits himself to the materials that the antique people of America were working with. He cooks his pieces at 1180 ° C, the ideal temperature for vitrification. He currently uses a gas oven, which allows reductions, which is not the case of an electric oven. As for the aesthetics of his work, he likes to create scenes where multiple characters interact and create a harmony, a rhythm, using pure and polished forms.Luciano Polverigiani
