Sydney-based, India-born artist Niharika Hukku draws inspiration from nature, mainly animals (mainly birds and fish), landscapes, and skies to paint her ceramic vases.
Starting with an idea my work is an expression of what I find elegant and beautiful in my world. Inspiration is seeded in my observations and interactions in nature. Having spent over a decade as an illustrator, I employ those sensibilities into my work which extends into painting, ceramics, and installation.
