French street artist Chifumi Krohom fuses pop culture elements and religious syncretism into energetic urban interventions, composed of colorful allegorical murals.
My name chifumi is inspired from the game “rock scisor paper”, as a vanishing point crossing symbolism, joke and syncretism. Originaly from Est of France, I have been living since 3 year in Cambodia. Trying to integrate the huge and deep cultural background from this country in my graphical work. Using some khmer paterns extracted from Angkor Wat temples, holly pagodas in Phnom Penh or event silk scarf found in a lost labyrinth of a local market. Sometimes my hands takes place on abandoned houses not so far from the jungle, sometimes on very chic restaurant of the busy capital: Phnom Penh. Some other have been made in my travels in Nepal, Danemark or France.
