Florianópolis-based Brazilian visual artist Thiago Valdi, aka Valdi Valdi, paints magnificent figurative murals taking inspiration from the woman essence and ocean and sea elements, what we could easily call urban mermaids.
The ocean is his main source of inspiration, and the feminine figure in his works expresses the beauty and admiration that the artist has for the uncontrollable forces of the ocean. Vigorous fluid lines set the visual style of these subjects; which always interact in various different urban environments. This fusion of influences resulted in expressive and authentic works. With spraying techniques derived from graffiti, the artist creates works in great proportions and with an incredible technical and aesthetic detail.
