Yayoi Kusama (previously featured) is a Japanese artist and writer, considered one of the most original and important plastic artists in her country. Her work is a mixture of different kinds of arts, such as collages, paintings, sculptures, performance art, and environmental installations, where is visible a characteristic that has become the artist’s mark: the obsession with dots and balls.
But, in her installation Flower Obsession, Kusama plays with another element to compose her magic dots: thousands and thousands of dummy blooms and stickers. They cover a recreated domestic interior, transporting the viewers to a captivating world conquered by that vivid red flowering.
