Rachael Cassiani is a self-taught artist born and raised in Martha’s Vineyard, an island in Massachusetts, USA. She takes inspiration from the colors and shapes of nature, mainly sandy cliffs, shorelines, and blue skies of her local beaches, to create stunning abstract landscape oil paintings with a cubist style.
I choose the structure of the paintings by looking at my scene and seeing where the most dominant hues are. I exaggerate the natural colors of the original landscape.
