Fabio Viale is an Italian artist famous for his unusual sculptures that reproduce pop culture elements and everyday objects out of marble: a material widely used in artworks during the Renaissance and Classical Antiquity. His sculptures range from toilet paper and party balloons to big truck wheels and motorboats.
They all are amazing on their own, but a specific series goes even further: the reproductions of classical marble sculptures covered with traditional Eastern tattoos. They represent the perfect fusion between two ancient civilizations, which were contemporaneous, but had little or no significant contact: the classical Greco-Roman world in the West and the Chinese-Japanese one in the Far East.
