British artist Natasha Newton transforms beach pebbles, sea glass and fragments of pottery into beautiful pieces of art. She uses them as canvas painting charming figures of trees, leaves, birds, feathers and other elements from fauna and flora on their surface.
I try to communicate the magic and mystery of the natural world through my paintings, and my work is often inspired by the seasons I consider the most beautiful and evocative; Autumn and Winter. I love the countryside and coast, visiting National Trust properties and exploring old buildings or towns – anywhere that gives me a strong sense of nostalgia and history.
