Salavat Fidai is a Russian experimental artist who works in the areas of figurative painting and carving mini sculptures on pencil points. He is passionate about Van Gogh’s paintings and decided to honor him by recreating his most famous paintings in miniature on the cover of matchboxes. The fidelity of their reproductions is breathtaking. Mainly because they are so small. Simply fascinating!
