A selection of amazingly intricate large-scale beach sand drawings by Jben Beach, aka Jehan-Benjamin Tarain. He is a project manager and web designer by profession but specializes in land art as an artist, using the rake and sand as his medium and canvas. His works draw attention not only to the enormous sizes but also to the precision of details.
He discovered beach art in March 2014, the concept really appealed to him and it wasn’t long before he made his first attempts on the beaches of the Royan estuary, a playground trodden since his childhood. He is now recognized under the artist pseudo Jben and works mainly on the beaches of Charente-Maritime where he is from. His many years of experience in sand and snow sculpture allowed him to quickly achieve great things. Today, this “seaside” art, beyond being a passion, is also its activity. This allowed him in particular to draw on many beaches in France and even beyond the borders to materialize certain projects: New York, Holland, England, Portugal and Morocco.
