Laura Hart is a Suffolk, England-based artist fascinated with nature. Most of her works pay tribute to fauna and flora, mainly butterflies and flowers. Her series Orchis Exotica combines beauty and functionality by embedding colorful neon lights into dedicated orchid glass sculptures.
My Orchis Exotica sculptures pay homage to Darwin’s silent conviction. The bi-coloured neon centres illuminate the uncanny resemblance between orchid and human reproductive organs; a parallel unlikely missed by the great man himself.
