Animal wood and alabaster stone sculptures painted with charring by Gerard Mas

Barcelona-based Italian sculptor Gerard Mas (previously here) carves impressive animal figures into massive tree trunks and alabaster stones with a high level of realism. By painting the dark parts of their ‘fur’ with charring, Mas turns his sculptures even more realistic and attractive.
