Michal Sawtyruk, a Warsaw native, masterfully brings urban landscapes to life with his vibrant color palette and a hint of realism that evokes a sense of wonder. His work is not just an exploration of cities but also a search for the soul within the concrete and steel. Infused with dynamic energy, each piece mirrors the vibrancy of city life, while still holding onto the intimacy of personal reflection. His urban illustrations capture fleeting moments, freezing them in time, with a brushstroke that blends reality and imagination seamlessly.
With a background in visual development, Sawtyruk’s expertise shines through in the depth and dimension of his compositions. His contribution to projects such as “Halo Fall of Reach” and “Another Day Of Life” speaks to his versatility and creative flair. As his career advances, he continues to evolve, now channeling his skills into directing experimental short animations. This transition allows him to explore new dimensions of storytelling, connecting with spaces and viewers alike. Through his personal paintings and animation pursuits, Sawtyruk weaves tales of connectivity across the urban tapestry, leaving an indelible mark on both the tangible and the ethereal.
My main field is illustration and visual development. I worked on backgrounds for Halo Fall of Reach, provided colorscripts for Another Day Of Life and developed concepts for various commercials and animation films. Working on personal paintings and (lately) directing experimental short animation is my other focus.
