Kaneohe, Hawaii-born, Los Angeles-based self-trained artist Jon Ching fuses figures of animals, insects, plants, fungi, and minerals to shape stunning, surreal, and fantastical creatures that celebrate nature’s brilliance.
My work highlights the majesty of the nature world and the complex and diverse life forms that make this world amazing. Often I merge flora and fauna to remind us that everything is interconnected. My hope is that my work kindles a fascination and love of nature and leads to the desire to protect what makes this world beautiful.
