David Amarzumjan is a German artist living and working in Munich. He paints poetic and thoughtful pictures of beautiful landscapes overlapped by other contrasting scenarios on wide and thick brushstrokes, resulting in a unique style. His pictures represent the same landscapes, but in different moments in time. Amarzumjan is fascinated by nature and combines abstract and surrealistic elements to express it.
His ongoing collection of oil paintings in the series “Brushstrokes in Time” is about juxtaposing what was, what is and what may be, exploring different landscapes and places to show how the forces of nature and humanity shaped our earth over time.
