The world of miniatures holds a certain allure, a captivating ability to shrink vast landscapes and grand creatures into bite-sized wonders. Lithuanian artist Raminta harnesses this power in her delightful polymer clay sculptures, crafting a menagerie of adorable animals that seem to leap straight out of a storybook.
Raminta’s artistic journey is deeply entwined with the natural world. Growing up in a small town bordering the Baltic Sea, she was surrounded by breathtaking scenery and an abundance of wildlife. This deep connection to nature is evident in the whimsical details of her creations, from the delicate fur of a curious fox to the wise eyes of an old owl. Each sculpture radiates a sense of life and personality, inviting viewers to enter a world where imagination reigns supreme.
Raminta’s miniature masterpieces are not only visually captivating but also imbued with a sense of wonder. By transforming ordinary polymer clay into creatures that seem to breathe and move, she invites us to appreciate the beauty and complexity of the natural world in a whole new light. Whether it’s a playful otter frolicking in a stream or a majestic stag surveying its domain, each sculpture tells a silent story, sparking our curiosity and igniting our sense of awe.
I’m fascinated by intricate beauty, diversity and harmony of Nature, mysterious patterns and relationships of all Lifeforms on our planet. (…) I was born in quiet town of Palanga on the Baltic Sea shore, and spent all my childhood surrounded by delicate wildlife environment, where my passion for Nature developed and blossomed. Now I live in charming old town of Vilnius and work in my home studio, where all of my Creatures are born.
