Action shots of pop-culture character figurines by Andrea, aka Andrea Toyphotography, is a series of photographs that showcases the creativity and humor of the artist. Andrea, who has been doing photography since he was a teenager, combines his passion for toys and drinks to create amusing scenes with his action figures. She uses characters from Star Wars, Marvel, DC, and other popular franchises, and pairs them with different beverages, such as tea, beer, soda, etc. She also adds realistic splash effects to make the photos more dynamic and fun.
Over the years, I tried many genres, from nature and astro, to landscape and city photography. Around May 2020, I realized that I hadn’t picked up my camera for months. During that time, to keep myself busy, I reignited my childhood love for Lego. After building a couple of sets, I thought I’d take some photos of them. I have always been a huge Star Wars fan, and I owned a few figures, so eventually, I started to use them as my models too. Little did I know that there is a growing toy photography community on Instagram, and almost 4 years down the line, toy photography will be my main hobby. Over the years, I tried different ideas, one of them was to combine toys with drinks, be it a cup of tea, a can of beer, etc. All the splash effects were created practically.
