Henrique Oliveira’s art installations are a profound exploration of organic forms and urban decay, often blurring the line between architecture and nature. His work, particularly the monumental root and tree trunk-like sculptures, evoke a sense of awe and curiosity. These pieces, erupting from floors and walls, invite viewers to reconsider the relationship between the built environment and natural world.
Oliveira utilizes repurposed wood, primarily plywood from construction sites, to construct these intricate installations, giving new life to discarded materials. His largest installation to date, “Transarquitetonica”, is a labyrinthine network of wooden roots that visitors can walk through, offering an immersive experience akin to exploring a colossal tree’s understructure.
