You probably know animals that are able to mimicry plants, other animals and the ambiance where they are. But, what about plants? Yes, there are also many plants with these abilities. Otherwise, in a lot of cases, we cannot be sure if it’s exactly an example of camouflage, morphological coincidence or just our imagination playing with our mind (pareidolia). In any case, some species in the genus of flowering plant called crotalaria draw people’s attention to the similarity of their blooms with hummingbirds. At a certain point in the flowering stage, their petals get the shape of the bird. Simply fantastic!
