Marsha Blaker and Paul DeSomma, aka Blaker-DeSomma Glass, are an artist couple based in Santa Cruz, California, specializing in the production of glass sculptures and objects. They work both together, in collaborative projects, and separately, in independent productions.
Marsha’s work is influenced and guided by the beauty and complexity of the marine environment, with an emphasis on textures and colors. Paul, on the other hand, has a passion for minimalism and the free creation of solid sculptures, emphasizing clarity and transparency, with softer colors. Among the collaborative works that most attract attention is the series of sculptures and vases inspired by the waves of the sea in all their splendor.
Our immersion in the constantly changing and evolving ocean environment inspires us to develop and grow our glasswork. We love this work to capture the vitality and energy of the ocean.
